Announcing the Winner of Our "Color in Harmony" Call for Scores: Sam Wu

We are delighted to announce that composer Sam Wu has been selected as the winner of our "Color in Harmony" call for scores. His piece, Monarch, captivated our selection panel with its artistic brilliance and unique voice.

Monarch will be featured in two upcoming performances: at the Old South Church in Boston on October 16th and at Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium in New York City on October 19th during our 2024 Annual Chamber Music Concert. We are honored to present this exceptional work to our audiences in both cities.

Call for Scores 2024

Miclot Chamber Music Society, made possible by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the AAPI Small Grants Fund, welcomes submissions for our 2024-2025 Season.

The Miclot Chamber Music Society is excited to introduce "Color in Harmony," a new project with a focus on championing the voices of Asian American composers within the category of chamber music. As an organization committed to promoting artistic excellence and cultural inclusivity through music, this initiative underscores our dedication to embracing the rich tapestry of Asian American heritage composers.

While our call for scores is open to a variety of genres, we have a particular interest in works that are accessible and enjoyable for novice concertgoers.
